This was my first time experiencing Colbie other then her singles on the radio from her first CD. I didn't buy her first CD but I was itching for something new & saw this listed in the new releases so after previewing some songs I decided to buy it. So glad I did. Colbie has a wonderful voice. The songs are very catchy but just different enough to make them stand apart from everything on the radio today. It's rare I can say I enjoyed every song on a CD but in this case, I did! It's full of talent from the songwriting, the music & her lovely voice!

I've seen mixed reviews on here about this album. The only song from her "Coco" album that I had ever heard was "Bubbly", and I loved it. It made me want to see what this young lady's music was all about. So I heard the song samples on "Breakthrough", and I was immediately interested. So I bought the album, and I was not disappointed. I will stop short of saying, "run right out and buy this album". It depends on your point of view. As another reviewer said, she did not reinvent herself on this album; it's much of the same type of music. But I like it that way. Her vocal style as well as the musical style of this album suits her very well. Sometimes I like fancier music, but the simplicity is what drew me, as well as the catchy tune and beat contained in these songs.

I could not wait for this album to arrive and now I know why after hearing it over and over since I got it. Her sweet voice speaks to everyone who loves romantic ballads with a pop influence made for radio. Colbie hit this one on target and it will become just as much a classic as her debut.

I'm "Fallin' For" This CD! September 18, 2009

I bought this because my guy and I heard "Fallin' For You" on the radio in early August 2009 (I didn't know the CD wasn't out yet), and we fell in love with it! So I ordered it as a pre-release, and it was well worth the wait! We've played "Fallin' For You" so much, it's "our song" now. But there are some other real winners here, too. "I Won't," "Begin Again," "You Got Me," which is cute as hell, "Rainbow," which I'm always singing to myself now, "Runnin' Around"...this is easily one of the best CDs of the year. The first half of the songs have a pretty upbeat tempo, while the other half is a bit slower, but all of it is great. I thought "Bubbly" was just okay when it came out, but now my guy and I are Colbie Caillat fans. We've told everybody, "You have to get this!" Buy it. (I almost forgot: "Fallin' For You" is so sweet and beautiful, it puts a lump in my throat. And my guy said, "This will become a wedding standard!" We'll have it at ours if we tie the knot, definitely. Would be great for a first dance.)
