The Movie In A Nut Shell August 11, 2000 LittleLotus69@aol.com (San Bernardino, Ca USA) 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
The movie is all the band members (mostly josh) walking around with a microphone talking to people at there concerts, to other bands and amongst themselves. That is kinda the intermission to there videos. Which consist of Black #1, Christina Woman(MTV version), Love You to Death, Christian Woman(long version), My Girlfriends Girlfriend, and Cinimon Girl. For most of the videos a few of the band members give there opinion on what they think the song is about. On each intermision there is one main person talking to the camera Peter is first up and is talking to some reporter asking questions about basicaly everything and nothing.... and thats about all with him. Next up is Jonny, he's talking about his hobbies and his thoughts on Black #1 thats about all. Next up is previous drummer Sal, that little section is short and sweet he says a few things and thats the end of him. Then Josh is going around with a mic and a little clip of him and Phill Ensalmo on Euro MTV (and youll be really suprised what happens on that little segment). Last but not least Kenny is at home with his wife and child having a little fun. Then a few moments with Josh and his thoughts and its the end. It sound really short but its really a good length video.

If you are a Type O Negative fan buy this DVD. If not buy it anyway. Type O Negative is so damn funny in this video. You get all the videos they have made, including "Everything Dies". But why this stands apart from the VHS is because it has commentary by the Drab Four (the band) on the entire DVD. BUY IT.

Obviously, if you are a big TON fan, you will want this video for your personal collection. It features their previous videos and some live footage, as well as several scenes of spontaneous behavior, and some not-so spontaneous gags they perform for the camera as well. Interestingly, you can also see the fans that show up to see TON, both outside in line and backstage, and also the infamous Slitzy. It's the entire TON family. You even see Kenny's daughter stealing the camera and all the attention. Peter Steele provides a loose running narrative, and some insights into how he feels about touring, and we find out a little about his nutritional needs and prescription drugs. In fact, this video closely portrays the TON tour experience complete with port-o-potty bathrooms and grass hygenical practices. There are sides of TON captured in this video you never thought you would see. Yes, this is a must-have for Type O Negative fans everywhere. Hopefully, they'll make a few more tour video-mentaries like this.
Must have for any Fan May 22, 2003 Trent L. Kendall (Mesa, AZ United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I can't believe I didn't buy this DVD sooner. I am a big fan of Type O's music and this DVD is great. Many of the great songs are on here with videos. It is also hilarious hearing these guys talk about things. They are so negative and sarcastic.

This is probably the best "music" video put out by a band. Not only do you get the band's collection of videos, but you get a great look at the personalities of the bandmembers. A must-own for any Type O Negative fan.
