4 out of 5 stars I want to mock it... I want to hate it... but I can't!   July 12, 2010

I'm not gonna lie here folks... I set out to write a review making fun of Kenny G... after listening to the sample tracks... I just can't do it! It's too good.

The title track, Heart and Soul is something you have heard before. No question about it. You might not know it by name or the uninitiated might not recognize it as Kenny G... but I assure you this song is ubiquitous (Gee I hope I used that word right)... meaning it is everywhere. When you are in line at McDonalds, when you're in the dentist's waiting room... it's there. It's smooth and relaxing. You know the song... it goes: Bah buh buh buh bah BAH dee DEE deedledee. Yeah, that one.

That last track... "After Hours" seems aptly named. To me it has that feeling of... OK, time to chill... work is done, I've loosened my tie... poured myself a cold ______ <--- (insert favorite bevarage here), and I'm kicking back on my insanely expensive leather couch waiting for my chauffer to pic me up and deliver me to an exclusive party that is teeming with beautiful, sophisticated women all of whom have but one goal in life... to adore me.
It has a slightly energetic but chill vibe to it. It goes: Bah buh buh buh bah BAH dee DEE deedledee. Which in the medium of written words looks an awful lot like "Heart and Soul" but you'll just have to trust me... it sounds different.

The guys in my car club are gonna prolly gonna demand that I shave off my official membership mullet over this, but doggone it I can't deny it... I like this stuff!

4 out of 5 stars Stunning   July 28, 2010

I was really surprised and shocked by this CD from Kenny G, it is really a must have. Of course, Kenny stayed wit his beloved traditional ballards but he in turn mixed it up with a little funk. I am one who really enjoys this from him because he is one of the best smooth jazz artist out there. With this CD you won't be disappointed , at all.

Enjoy Kenny G, but to much electronic background music. Cost of production seems more important than quality.
